Last August, I requested of Blue Cloud Abbey to please give me copies of War Eagle's family tree and Honore Picotte's family tree. After inquiring as to who my relatives were and confirming they were on the trees, Colleen kindly sent me 6 pages, 17 X 11, copies of the Picotte tree.
Originally, I took them to office depot to have them scanned and put on disc in jpg format so that I could touch them up. With some difficulty Office Depot was unable to put them in jpg format but instead put them in pdf format and upside down, to be discovered by me later.
Unfortunately, I went about things backwards. Instead of experimenting with light and dark copying to get a better image then put the best copies on disc, I did it the other way around. So I suggest to any of you who would like copies of these with better images, print them out on 17 X11 then play with a copying machine to get the best images.
I have converted the pdf files to jpg format. I am sorry they are not as good as the copies I have made for myself after having them scanned. I will see what I can do in the next couple of weeks and see about re-scanning the copies I made and then post them. But, in the meantime, here is what was sent to me that I would like to share. Should any of you like the pdf copies I would me more than glad to send them to you if you just email me. I find the pdf copies come in handy when you really want to zoom in on a certain part of the doc. Fr. Madlon's handwriting leaves something to be desired but zooming in and out should help.
